Director Bala needs no introduction. He was among the new wave of film-makers who laid emphasis on meaningful cinema and provide Tamil cinema with a new direction. The maker of movies like ‘Sethu’, ‘Nanda’ and ‘Pithamagan’ is now waiting for the release of ‘Paradesi’, a tale on the plight of tea estate workers. On the other hand, Director Anurag Kashyap is a renowned Bollywood director, whose recent movie ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, which won a lot of praise. He is the man behind several movies including ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Dev D’ and among the new generation of Hindi film-makers who have taken Bollywood projects to new highs . Anurag Kashyap has shown interest in getting Bala’s ‘Paradesi’ to the audiences in the central & the northern parts of India, The director plans to screen the film with English and Hindi sub-titles through his company PHANTOM FILMS PVT Ltd., for the first time is releasing a Tamil film in Central & North India Bala is waiting for the release of ‘Paradesi’ which stars Atharva, Dhansika and Vedhika in key roles and takes a look at the plight tea estate workers in pre-independence India. Like his previous films which were realistic, dark and meaningful offerings, ‘Paradesi’ promises to be take a look at what trauma of tea estate labourers under went in at the time of British occupation.
