But it was only after Samir Thahir’s 2011-release Chaapa Kurishu, that Fahadh began to be taken seriously. The film, in which the actor and Vineeth Sreenivasan were pitted against each other saw the birth of a new star. Fahadh’s acting skills scaled new heights with Ashique Abu’s 22 Female Kottayam and then with Lal Jose’s Diamond Necklace.
Yami confesses that she didn’t nurture any ambitions of becoming an actress. Hailing from a family with no background in movies, she was a merit student preparing for the civil services. that she took up acting was a “pleasant surprise and a matter of destiny, ” she says. “i was a simple obedient girl, studying at university. i learnt French and dance. my friends spotted my talent for acting more than i did. when i was in class 9 or 10, my classmates would keep telling me that i would become an actress.
