Ram Gopal Varma has announced that he would direct a comedy film in Telugu, soon. He hasn’t directed a Telugu film since 1999, Prema Katha being his last. After almost 11 years, he’s making a big comeback in Telugu with a film titled ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam: Appalaraju’ with Sunil as the lead hero.

Lawrence, who has donned several hats like a choreographer, actor and director, has signed Prabhas and Anushka for his next film. This is the first time that Lawrence is going to direct Prabhas. Anushka had earlier played the lead role in Lawrence’s Don which had Nagarjuna in lead role. She’s also acting in another film by Lawrence titled Kanchana.

Ravi Teja’s eagerly awaited film Don Seenu is all set to release in August. The film has been making quite a lot of buzz, ever since it began shooting in Europe. Don Seenu was shot in Switzerland, Spain, Dubai, Barcelona and Iceland for over 45 days, which is one of the longest foreign schedules in Ravi Teja’s career. Three songs and few key scenes were shot in these places. The film was recently shot in Rajahmundry and Hyderabad where a lot of talkie part and key scenes were shot.

Popular actor, Saikumar is all set to introduce his son, Aditya as a hero in a film titled Prema Kavali. In a star studded affair at Annapurna Studios, the film’s opening ceremony had several veteran actors and industry stalwarts making their presence felt. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, K. Viswanath, Dr. D. Ramanaidu, Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Harikrishna, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Srihari, Murali Mohan, Jayasudha, SV Krishna Reddy, Ramesh Prasad, Prakash Raj, PJ Sharma, Saikumar and others took part in the event.

Two recent Telugu films, Darling and Vedam have spread their wings to the neighbouring states. Although, Telugu films being remade in Kannada or Tamil isn’t a new phenomenon, the buzz surrounding the Tamil remake of Vedam has been deafening over the past couple of days.

The audio of Varun Sandesh, Vega starrer Happy Happyga was launched in Cinemax, Hyderabad on Friday evening. Priya Saran is the director and Vadlamudi Durga Prasad produced the film on Sri Ranjith Movies banner. Mani Sharma has composed the music.

EVV Satyanarayana’s latest directorial venture titled Katti Kantarao was launched today in Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Allari Naresh, Kamna Jethmalani, Kota Srinivasa Rao are playing the lead roles. Edara Srinivas, Edara Ravikumar, Edpuganti Purna Chararao and Edpuganti Subramaneshwararao are jointly producing the film on Big B Productions banner.
