Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has been on a break for the last eight to nine months, returned to the music scene with the release of his music for Dharmadurai, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Tamannaah in the lead.
Participating in an event to launch the audio of the film, the music director made it amply clear that he was only on a break and that he had not left the music industry. Taking exception to some people calling his work for Dharmadurai a comeback, Yuvan said, “I took a break for nine months. Many are saying that I’m making a comeback. It’s not a comeback as I haven’t gone anywhere.”
The music director further added, “I work on anywhere between 12 -14 projects a year and it was getting quite tiresome and therefore I needed a break. I am now back from a break.”
Dharmadurai, which has been directed by National Award winner Seenu Ramasamy, also features Srushti Dange and Aishwarya Rajesh among others. Sources in the industry say that the film is likely to hit screens sometime in the third week of September this year.
