Tamil actor Murali has announced a bilingual project (Kannada and Tamil) featuring his son Adharvaa. The movie will be launched some time in October and produced by a prominent Tamil banner.
Murali, who was in Bangalore for the promos of his son’s debut Tamil movie Baana Kaathadi, said the story and screenplay for the bilingual movie was ready. “Our family has been in the Kannada film industry since decades. It is but natural that my son acts in a Kannada film,” said Murali.
He hoped that Baana Kaathadi, directed by Badri Venkatesh, featuring Samantha as the female lead, would be a hit.
The promo was graced by Murali’s family, including his father Siddalingaiah, a veteran Kannada film director with blockbusters like Bangaarada Manushya and Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu to his credit. Siddalingaiah has directed films featuring thespian Rajkumar and superstar Vishnuvardhana.
Though Murali started his filmy career in Kannada, he could not make it big. Even his father could not be of much help in establishing him as a hero in Kannada films. Subsequently, he moved to Tamil films where he was hugely successful.
Siddalingaiah said he was extremely pleased with Baana Kaathadi. “I am sure that Adharvaa will go a long way in the entertainment industry. I never knew that my children and grandchildren would pursue a career in films,” he added.
