Until this point, actors and their association, the Nadigar Sangam, were the only ones to have been consistently fighting the menace of piracy. However, now, it seems fans of actor Vijay too have decided to lend a helping hand to the stars to end the menace.
Yes, fans of actor Vijay in Cuddalore have now filed a complaint with the police, requesting action against those found indulging in film piracy. In their complaint to the police, the fans have pointed out that new films like Aandavan Kattalai, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Ritika in the lead, and Dhanush‘s Thodari were available online within a few hours of the films being released in theatres.
Requesting stringent action against those indulging in making pirated DVDs and uploading pirated copies of these two new films, the fans said that they were making this request, even though it wasn’t their star’s film, in the interest of the public.
