When Southscope got in touch with the actress, she confirmed the news but said that she wouldn’t be able to talk about it until the makers officially announced it first.
Says the actress, ” I have to wait for the makers to announce it. All I can say at this point is that it is again a powerful role and I have to speak a lot of Telugu in it. I haven’t done this character before..I have to be very well prepared before I go on the sets for it”
Apart from that, she is also working on Chai Shai Biscuits with a lot of TVF actors in Hindi and a short film titled Bitter Sweets, which, again, is a hard-hitting film.
The actress has always come across as a strong woman. Like everybody else, she has had her share of failures. But then, she has also handled them admirably well. What is her mantra for handling defeats?
Says the actress, “I have seen really, really dark days and some bright days too. I think the word that I would like to say that helped me handle failures is ‘perseverance’. If you don’t persevere, you cannot last long here. I think the mantra that I have discovered for myself, my happiness and well being is to move on quickly from your last failure or success. Holding on to any can be dangerous. What next? is what I always ask myself the moment I finish a film. I cannot sit still. I also develop a little bit of a thick skin when it comes to mean things being said about you. I know that this too shall pass. You know, I read a lot on the net and I have seen that the same film news website, for example, can say that your are finished today and the next week say that she is soo busy and happening when you have signed two-three films. Even in life,if today is August 12 and I note down what is troubling me, on September 12, I may not even be affected by this so-called problem and may have no problem or a newer problem then. So I guess it is all about looking forward and only forward and learning from the past!”
