Mankatha is close to my heart - Venkat Prabhu

Say 'Mankatha', eyes of every Ajith fan will lit up. Because it is the 50th venture of their favourite hero. Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri, the movie has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Venkat Prabhu has said, 'Mankatha is a serious thriller that will be fast-paced and absolutely furious'. Besides Ajith, the film features Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Vaibhav and Premji Amaran among others. The director added that he has added sprinkles of comedy to ease the tension a little but overall it is a tense drama.

The filmmaker also said that this flick is unlike anything Ajith has done so far. His fans will be seeing Ajith in a very different character. 'It is my favourite film so far. The project is so close to my heart,' he concluded.
