'I am disappointed if I dont win an award': Sekhar Kammula

It is not often that one finds directors making wholesome family entertainers. But, Sekhar Kammula is one of those few who brings back nostalgia on screen, thereby touching a chord with the audience. He has created his own brand of cinema which is meaningful, violence-free and refreshing, choosing newcomers to play the main roles. In the process, he has launched quite a few actors.
His oeuvre comprises of five films so far, namely, Dollar Dreams, Anand, Godavari, Happy Days and Leader. Sekhar is now ready with his sixth film titled Life is Beautiful (LIB), which is slated for release mid-August.
