ON THE SET: ADHINAYAKUDU

Nandamuri Balakrishna's previous film Sri Rama Rajyam, which released in 2011, became a surprise hit, even though no one expected a movie based on mythology to taste success at the box-office. In Adhinayakudu, Balakrishna is back in his original form, playing the role of a powerful person, who fights for the society.Incidentally, Balakrishna plays three different roles – grandfather, father and son – in Adhinayakudu, and the expectations from his fans are very high from this film.

Thousands of fans of Balakrishna wanted to shake hands with him during the shoot in Kurnool, and he responded to them by posing for pictures. With a strong resemblance to his father the late NT Rama Rao, it became very difficult for the shooting unit to manage the crowd. But for the actor’s patience, shooting in Kurnool would not have been possible. “Balakrishna is playing three powerful roles in the movie. They do not overlap, but come one after another. In one of the characters, Balakrishna looks exactly like his father. It was fun working with him on the sets,” says Murali.
