Actor Vishal, who is also the secretary of the South Indian Artistes Association better known as the Nadigar Sangam, has welcomed the move of actor Vijay’s fans to lodge a police complaint against those indulging in film piracy.
The actor took to Twitter to express his happiness. He tweeted, “Glad dat @actorvijay fan clubs hv steppd fwd 2 voice out n curb piracy. it’s time 4 other actors fans 2 cme fwd. promise u der Wil b a change.” (sic)
His tweet comes in the wake of actor Vijay’s fans filing a complaint with the police against those indulging in film piracy. In their complaint to the Cuddalore police, the fans had pointed out that new films like Aandavan Kattalai, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Ritika in the lead, and Dhanush’s Thodari were available online within a few hours of the films being released in theatres.
Requesting stringent action against those indulging in making pirated DVDs and uploading pirated copies of these two new films, the fans had said that they were making this request in the interest of the public.
